The institute provides Manipal School of Life Sciences scholarships to its UG and PG students. To avail Manipal School of Life Sciences scholarships, candidates must apply for the scholarship after meeting the eligibility requirements.
Before applying for the Manipal School of Life Sciences scholarship, the candidate is required to go through the admission process specified for each programme. At any given time, a student is only eligible for one scholarship. All scholarship-eligible students must open a bank account into which the scholarship amount will be deposited.
Scholarships will be extended in the following year only to students who passed all subjects in the university examinations of the previous year before the due date for payment of the annual course fee. Students who are promoted to the following year with failing (F)/ incomplete (I) / detention (DT) grades will be ineligible for Manipal School of Life Sciences scholarships for that academic year.

Candidates admitted under the Scholars category will be responsible for other expenses such as hostel accommodation, food, books, and so on. The achiever scholarship involves a 20% waiver of the programme fee of the scholarship awarding year.
Other expenses, such as hostel accommodation, food and books, are to be taken care by the achiever. For the undergraduate programme, 80% (as per selection criteria) is required in 10+2 from a recognised board. For postgraduate programme, 70% aggregate is required in undergraduate (UG) from a recognised university.
Scholar Category: Scholar Scholarships account for 5% of the general category intake for each branch/programme and are available for the entire programme duration, beginning with the first year. The minimum admitted for the programme must be 5.
Achiever Category: Scholarship constitutes 5% of the general category intake for each branch/programme are available at the start of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th year, based on annual academic performance in the previous year, i. e. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year, depending on the programme duration.
