Maulana Azad Institute of Pharmacy, Jodhpur

Maulana Azad Institute of Pharmacy (MAIP), Jodhpur, Rajasthan, was established in the year 2012. PCI approved, this affiliated college provide specialised education in pharmaceutical sciences. MAIP, covering 5 acres of land, has earned its reputation in the sphere of pharmacy.

This institute has total sanctioned intake of 119 students in different professional courses of study and has a team of 11 committed faculties. MAIP offers two programmes , a four year Bachelors in Pharmacy (B. Pharma) and a two year Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharma) to meet the challenging demands of the pharmacy profession in the market place.

The institute boasts of high standards of facilities that in a way enhance the learning process. MAIP has a substantial database contained free of charge in the college library equipped with over 2800 books and 700 book titles providing information in the sphere of pharmaceutical education and reference materials.

Till date, the campus provides 11 wide, well ventilated pharmacology laboratory housing all modern day instruments and equipment that meet the Pharmacy council of India norms. These labs meet all types and specialisations such as Pharmaceutics Labs, Pharmacology Labs, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Pharmaceutical Analysis Labs, among others.

The institute also promote IT facilities so that students have appropriate technologist to support their learning process. In matters of pharmacy education, MAIP provides a total of two full time courses. The B. Pharma programme is of four years duration, whereas, the D. Pharma programme is of two years duration.

Each of them has an approved intake capacity of 60 students per academic year, that makes total of sixty across all courses in the institute. This concentrate of numbers creates the perception that MAIP can offer quality education with the optimum student to faculty ratio. With regard to admission process, Maulana Azad Institute of Pharmacy has simple and standard process; the main criteria is merit base.
