Mayurakshi Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) is one of the best aspired educational institute situated in Jodhpur, Rajasthan and was established in year 2009. Located on a vast area of 10 acres of land, MIET has grown up as a prominent institute for engineering courses in Ruhengeri. These are the different programmes in the institute of engineering such as diploma courses to different specialisation.

MIET has a large and especially selected faculty of 57 members; the institution affirms to produce knowledgeable and technically sound students. The facilities at MIET are intended to complement the teaching and learning processes as well as the general growth and development of the students in the institute.

The campus has well equipped laboratories that allow the students to practically put into use the theories learnt, and this makes the graduates real professionals in the respective fields. The air-conditioned library that measures 5000 square meters, occupies the central position of the educational process, containing book, journals and the electronic documentation.

Students are able to browse through numerous texts containing essential information, textbooks, manuals and national and international standards keeping the learners up-to-date with emerging trends in their fields of study. The boys and girls hostels at the institute are designed distinctly to give outstation students a homely and safe ambience.

The boys’ hostel has a capacity of 40 students, while the girl’s hostel has a capacity of 100 students. Some of these facilities are air cooling, mess, internet services and play areas for the students in these hostels. It also has a number of sports amenities which include football playing field, cricket, basketball, and volley-ball to enhance the physique and team up spirits of the learners.

Gym with appropriate facilities helps the students to have a sound state of body both physical fitness, the auditorium, on the other hand, provides the necessary platforms for events and seminar’s hence a sound state of mind, intellectually and culturally. The college canteen serves a variety of hygienically prepared partly cheap meals for the students, thereby, making colleges a point of congregation.

MIET has three diploma engineering courses for the students. The diploma programmes offered are Mechanical Engineering , Civil, and Electrical Engineering . All these programmes are full time and B. Tech has a duration of four years whereas Diploma programmes take three years to complete.

This diverse offering allow the students make a choice of the specialisation in the area of their choice in line with their career paths.
