The MDF College of Education Sagar, Karnataka which started in the year of 2004-05 is an affiliated College. Occupying only 5 acres of land, this college’s purpose is to prepare the future of education professionals. The college has duly received the recognition from the National Council for Teacher Education NCTE and hence the assurance of quality teacher education.
Currently MDF College of Education has 121 student’s enrolment and a faculty size of 14, which ensure an appropriate environment for students and faculty to grow. MDF College of Education has a list of facilities that aims at improving the learning ability of the students within the facility.
The school has a well stocked library manned by a full time qualified librarian and containing a total of 5640 books of different specialist reference for B Ed courses. Further, it also takes around 30 journals and periodicals in the field of education so that student may well updated with the latest researches and developments.
The computer lab with facility of 20 computers with professional staff helps the students to improve the information technology skills. This general laboratory exposes the aspiring teachers to experiments in learning, personality changes, and intelligence tests.
A technology lab is equipped with most recent types of sound and vision enhancement tools like projectors, television and CDs which involve Interactive CDs and elucidate students about the ways of using projector in classes thus giving them an idea about the future classrooms. MDF College of Education currently offers one primary course: that of the Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) programme.
This is a full time course spanning two years and is set to prepare the students to fit into the teaching profession. It has an approved capacity for students intake of 100 and thus the capacity for delivering quality teachers to the nation is well endowed by the College yearly.
The admission procedure at MDF College of Education is in accordance with the objectives of the state government and the university to which it is affiliated. They based their admission processes on merit and this is mainly on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and or examination conducted by the institution.
