Meghraj Memorial B. Ed. College, Barauni, is a relatively newer institution, having the purpose of training teachers, and it was started in the year 2016. This co-educational college in Phulwaria - Barauni, Bihar, works on an affiliation basis and is duly recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

The institute sprawls over a compact area of 1 acre and houses 138 students at present, having a faculty strength of 16 members. The Meghraj Memorial B. Ed. College offers aspiring teachers two specialized courses in education at different levels. Meghraj Memorial B. Ed. College is committed to an enabling learning environment for the students.

It realises the role of technology in modern education and has invested in very good IT infrastructure. Many athletic facilities are available for use by the sports enthusiasts. Health and wellness are catered for through a medical centre that is in place to attend to first aid. A cafeteria also exists, making it easier for students and staff to relax through eating together.

Added to this are an auditorium for events and seminars, specialised laboratories to provide hands-on practical learning, comfortable classrooms, and a guest room for visiting faculty and family members. Two regular courses on a full-time basis are offered by Meghraj Memorial B. Ed. College: Bachelor of Education ( B. Ed. ) and Diploma in Elementary Education ( D. El. Ed. ).

College are solely at the discretion of state government policies of Bihar and the affiliated university. As far as the B. Ed course goes, administration is based on merit, taking into consideration marks obtained in the qualifying examination or the performance in an entrance examination. Other modes of selection may be followed when necessary and guided by the policies of the state and the university.

Also, admission to the D. El. Ed course will be merit-based; that is, according to the performance of the candidate in qualifying and entrance tests as per the policy of State Government/ UT administration.
