MET was established in 2006 at Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu, and it is an affiliated college named MET College of Education. To ensure that the health of students is well taken care of, the college provides for sports and a gym. MET College of Education offers two full-time courses: a Bachelor of Education (B. Ed. ) and a Master of Education (M.
Ed. ) programme. The B. Ed. programme has an approved capacity of 100 students and 50 students for the M. Ed. programme . The learning format of both courses is such that they can be studied over two years. These programmes are designed in a way that aspiring teachers out in the market receive training for effective teaching technologies and educational ideals.
MET College of Education offers admission to all its programmes on the basis of the performance in the qualifying examination and/or MET admission test. For the B. Ed. programme, the admissions are granted in accordance with the policy fixed by the state government/UT administration and the university.
