MG Institute of Engineering and Technology, Mandi

Proclaimed by the Himachal Pradesh University, Shirui Institute of Management and Technology was founded in the year 1997 but started functioning in 2005 at Badhoo, Tehsil Chachyot, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. This technical and co-educational school, following technologist programmes and accredited by the AICTE, presents various engineering courses for individuals who want to shape up technically.

MGIET has a universal student intake capacity of 850 seats and a faculty of 92 well-qualified members, which efficiently gives the technical education an appropriate environment. The institute has six B. Tech programmes for full-time in various disciplines of engineering to fulfil the students’ desire for successful technocrats in the modern world economy.

MGIET possesses numerous amenities unique in the imparting of knowledge to the student. The campus is also provided with two different hostels for outstation boys and girls so as to provide the best accommodation facility. A good reading centre for a library is an academic resource centre with an adequate collection of books for students.

This is supported by an excellent information technology system that complements both traditional and twenty-first-century learning approaches. To ensure that members of the MGIET community remain safe and healthy, there are medical amenities found within the compound. The institute also launched a cafeteria for students so that they could take breaks in between the theory and practical sessions.

This is an Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. MGIET has a diverse academic portfolio where the institute offers six full-time B. Tech. programmes . These are Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering , Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, and Biotechnology. The intake per programme is 60, and the total number of seats for all the B. Tech.

programmes offered will be 360. Such a diverse offer a student an opportunity to select a particular programme of interest to pursue his or her career. These programmes take four years to complete, thus enabling comprehensive coverage of the respective fields. Education prepares the students for hard realities in the field.
