MGM’s College of Journalism and Mass Communication, Nanded was set up in 2002 as an affiliated college to produce young professionals in the field of media. Established in 1992, this is an institution situated at Nanded, Maharashtra, near Airport Road focusing in Journalism and Mass Communication. Presently, the college enrols 92 students and the college has 4 qualified and professional faculty members.
MGM's College of Journalism and Mass Communication offers two full-time degree programmes: a one-year Bachelor of Journalism (BJ) and a two-year Master of Journalism (MJ) giving an opportunity to students at different levels of education to pursue journalism. MGM’s College of Journalism and Mass Communication has many facilities that help make the college learning experience a better one for its students.
The campus is facilitated with well well-stocked library which is the life of the institution. It comprises a vast of resources of books and journals by prominent writers, DVDs and VCDs which makes it rich study material for the students.
Extensive computerised services which are qualifying technology for journalism education include the following; the college has modern multimedia software, and high-speed internet accessibility 24/7. In regard to the physical health of students, the college provides the opportunities of a sports facility and a gym. There is a large auditorium for meetings and seminars so that people can learn with more engagement.
It also has a health centre whereby the mobile aspect of the college has a first aid facility in case of any emergencies for the students. The college is affiliated to Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded . From an academic standpoint, MGM’s College of Journalism and Mass Communication offers a compact area of study with its two niche programmes.
The BJ programme takes one year while the MJ spans for two years. These two programmes are available in full-time study mode which enables a candidate to devote himself to studies.
