The Sarvodaya Education Society is an eminent trust of Morbi devoted to promote education in this area. It was established in the year 1959 in Mumbai by the efforts of the philanthropists and the blessing of the Royal family of then Morbi State. The Royal family provided financial support and donated land to establish educational campus near Nazar Bag Station.
The chief aim of the trust was, and is, to extend secondary and higher education of science, commerce and arts to the young students of the rural and semi-rural region of Morbi. Earlier the students had to go to different places for higher studies. NCC unit run by the college is a real feather in our cap. It offered invaluable service during the devastating earthquake in 2001.
The NCC officer and cadets were felicitated by the then Union Sports Minister, Ms Uma Bharatiji. Every year NCC cadets participate in various state and national level camps and win various prestigious awards and medals. Apart from these the college actively carried out various government sponsored schemes such as Soil Testing, Saptdhara and SCOPE.
During the pre-science time, many eminent doctors, engineers, professors and industrialists have studied in this college.
