Modern College of Education, Ghatkesar

Modern College of Education located at Ghatkesar, Andhra Pradesh, India is also one of the institutions with great future prospects for education. This college for boys and girls commenced operating in 2002 and is engaged in training promising teachers to date. It is an affiliated college and so works under the umbrella of a university, and thus they are always able to maintain higher standards of education.

College is proud to announce that it has been approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), affirming to the mission of bringing quality teacher education of the college. Modern College of Education has been provided with adequate learning environment through the provision of social amenities that enhances the development of the students and members of the college campus.

There are separate hostels for boys and girls in the college so that out station students get good accommodation facility. It has a rich library with 4600 books and 15 encyclopedias and a very large reading hall accommodating a 100 students at a time. The school also has 20 educations journal / periodicals for students’ awareness of new and emerging trends in the education sector.

However, the flagship of academic programmes at Modern College of Education is the Bachelor of Education ( B. ED ) programme. This is a full-time course that takes two years to complete and was developed to prepare students for teaching profession. With an approved intake of 100 students for B. Ed programme the offer the programme which combines both practical experiences alongside with the theories.
