Modern College of Education, Nawada

Modern College of Education, Nawada, was established in the year 2015. This is a rather bright educational institution in the state of Bihar, India. This is a co-educational institution located at Kunti Nagar, and it is entirely dedicated to the upbringing and development of future educators.

Affiliated to the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi, this 1-acre compact campus has a total student enrolment of 246 and a faculty of 32 members. At present, Modern College of Education provides two specialised degree programmes to cater to different aspects of teacher education.

Modern College of Education, Nawada, which boasts a holistic environment for learning, would include several infrastructural facilities that it perceives as helping hand-in-hand in the teaching–learning process. At the centre of this campus is a well-stocked library that includes a heterogeneity of texts and reference books, educational encyclopaedias, yearbooks, and electronic publications.

The library also has CD-ROMs and journals on teacher education ready as a source of knowledge for students and the faculty. Specialised laboratories have been established for practical learning in Science, Psychology, Health Education, Physiology, and Anatomy. They have all necessary equipment for teaching-related experiments.

This institute has made arrangements for sport facilities in the form of a playfield for sports and games like athletics and for outdoor games, along with arrangements for yoga and indoor games. The other special feature on the campus is the swimming pool, which, with its good design, shall give the students an opportunity to be physically fit and recreate.

The college has also provided an auditorium for events and seminars, a health centre with first aid facilities, a gym, and a canteen for the staff and students. The hostel facilities are available separately for boys and girls; however, both are situated within the same premises and provide comfortable accommodation with a 24-hour supply of water and electricity.

Modern College of Education, Nawada, provides two prime courses related to education. The institute provides both full-time B. Ed and full-time D. El. Ed courses, both being two-year courses. Both the courses mentioned above have an approved intake of 100 students each and thus make sure that class size is controlled to provide quality at this level of education.
