Motensar Memorial Arts and Science College, Sirsi which was started in the year 1962 , is one of the leading institutions situated in Uttara Kannada Karnataka . Holding its ground over a 25-acre area it is an affiliated college having 870 students with programmes in different disciplines. Having a teaching faculty size of 12 members, the college offers 3 courses under three programmes in arts and science.
The college has received NAAC accreditation and has since grown in reputation to cater for various sectors of interest in academics as well as create a conducive environment for learning. Many accommodation facilities are available in the college to improve the education of students in the college.
The institutional libraries that form the backbone of all learning processes contain more than seventy two thousand publications and eighty-eight journals, magazines, and periodicals. It also includes an ICT center with open access and is formally recognised as an essential focal point for the overall academic environment. Those who live in the compound are offered two ladies’ hostels to accommodate 230 students.

The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for which it offers Bachelor of Arts ( BA ) and Bachelor of Science (B. Sc) as well as a Master of Science ( M. Sc ) in Mathematics.
