Mother Terasa College of Agriculture, Pudukkottai

Mother Teresa College of Agriculture, Pudukkottai was established in 2017, and is a relatively new college promoting agriculture education in the Tamil Nadu, India. This affiliated college is situated at Mettusalai, Illuppur Post and has been recognised by the Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR).

The college visually occupies a much larger campus spreading over an area of 157 acres of land to support theory as well as the practical aspects of learning and innovation. This Jesuit college presently has 263 students and 23 faculties which help the college to keep the student-teacher ratio balanced and thereby offer quality education supported by quality interaction between the students and their teachers.

The college also aims at delivering a well rounded education to its students. The college provides welfare and amenities for students in academic work and various activities. As mentioned the library is an important feature to the proposed structure; its primary role is to provide literature and resource on agriculture.

The methods used in practical sessions in college include use of modern equipments and advanced laboratory to enable students get practical touch on different aspects of agriculture. Another area of development the college does well is in technology with good IT facilities, the college fits students into the technological era of agriculture.

In the same way in tangent with holistic development, the institution offers sporting activities where students can develop on body and soul within the campus. First aid facilities that are available in a college health center play a very important role in dealing with the health complications of the college constituents.

This campus also has canteen, guest house, and hostels for boys and girls to provide conducive environment and accommodation for Students from different part of the country. Mother Teresa College of Agriculture currently offers one flagship programme: B. Sc. Agriculture (Hons) .

This four-year full-time course is offered to provide students with basic knowledge of agricultural sciences having theoretical knowledge as well as practical experience. It has many topics related to crop, soil, pest, weed, climate, credit, price, yield and other aspects of modern farming system.

Being a young institution, Mother Teresa College of Agriculture is gradually establishing itself in the sphere of agricultural training.
