An affiliated college, MSCM Government College, Thural, was set up in 1988 in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. This institution has been responding to the educational demands of the region for more than thirty years as a government financial institution. The college occupies a beautiful piece of land of 6 acres and is situated in a quiet area, which is favourable to learning.

At present, 130 students and 17 faculty members teach at MSCM Government College, assuring adequate individual attention to students with an optimised student-faculty ratio. MSCM Government College is affiliated with Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla . MSCM Government College promotes quality education to the student and has various amenities that are useful to the college students.

In addition, it is student welfare since the college has a health centre to assure student safety with first aid facilities. MSCM Government College, Thural, offers five full-time programmes . These include Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (B. Sc), Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com), Bachelor of Computer Application ( BCA ) and Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Application ( PGDCA ).
