Namdhari College of Education, Sundernagar

Namdhari College of Education Sundernagar, an affiliated college, was started in 2007 and is located at Sundernagar in Bhojpur, Himachal Pradesh. This is a co-educational institution recognised by National council for teacher education(NCTE) of India and offers specialised courses in education only. The college occupies a small area of 1 acres and has a total student enrolment capacity of 100 and faculty of 12.

Namdhari College of Education today comprises two degrees for the teacher education at the under-graduate and post- graduate levels. It is worth to note that the institute is committed to the quality of education and all the programmes have been structured discharging the modern facilities.

Namdhari College of Education has developed a number of amenities that are meant to improve the learning processes for the learners. Reading section: finished and quiet area, equipped with comfortable furniture allowing about 50 students to read in comfort.

The college also has hostel accommodation for both male and female students and houses well-ventilated rooms with study tables, lockable almirah and comfortable bedding. Namdhari College of Education currently runs two full time courses in the teaching profession as shown in the following table.. These are a two year Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) programme and a two year Master of Education (M. Ed) programme.

The course spread of the B. Ed programme is authorised 100 seats and the course spread of the M. Ed programme is 50 seats. The main gate, admission into Namdhari College of Education is done through merit system due to the guidelines provided by state and central governments. For the B. Ed programme, admission is only merit basis with entry test of Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla.
