National Power Training Institute (NPTI) is a government institution under the Ministry of Power, Government of India. It is a national apex body for Training and Human Resources Development in the Power Sector. NPTI New Delhi was established in 1979. NPTI Delhi offers programmes on technical and managerial aspects of the power industry.
The courses offered at the NPTI Delhi campus are PGD (Post Graduate Diploma) programmes in three different specialisations including Power Plant Engineering , Transmission & Distribution, and Distribution & Substation Management . Admission to these PGD courses is based on marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree and interviews conducted by NPTI.
Interviews will be conducted through Telephone/conferencing App/online platforms. NPTI is an ISO-certified organisation and a recognised body for assessment and certification in the power sector. The institute takes the responsibility of placing students across various companies and organisations such as Tata Power, Reliance Power, Siemens India, Lahmeyer International and others through its placement cell.
