Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education (NICHE) began its journey in 1989 as an engineering college with a visionary commitment to emerge as a distinguished centre of excellence in higher education, built on uncompromising standards of discipline, ethics, and academic rigor. From its inception, NICHE has remained steadfast in its pursuit of quality education, research advancement, and holistic student development.

In recognition of its academic excellence, the institution was ranked the 19th Best Engineering College by Anna University in 2006.
