It is an Institute of Pharmaceutical Education, established in the year 2004 in Bhopal (The city of lakes) Capital of the state Madhya Pradesh, India. 5 acre campus total enrolment is 530 students out of which 84 % are Undergraduate students and 16% are post graduate students. The college also enrols a racially/ethnically diverse student population: 40% of the students come from other states. The OCP Bhopal has 38 faculty members teaching 6 course offerings across 3 levels of degree programmes focused in pharmaceutical sciences.
Employment of quality facilities in learning process shows that OCP Bhopal is determined to produce the best results for its students. OCP Bhopal has efficient laboratory facilities such as 14 for B. Pharma course and 6 for M. Pharma course which carries all necessary hardware meeting industrial specifications.
Currently it operates an institutional library that contains approximately 7500 books and has access to thirty six international and national journals. It also incorporates CD-ROM databases with features; Additional facilities at the campus feature a health centre which comprises of first aid for students’ needs besides having sporting equipments and gym for exercising.
OCP Bhopal has both computer and communication facilities and an auditorium to facilitate academic activities. The college also avails transport facilities to the colleges and the staff and a canteen for the students and the staff. The courses provided by Oriental College of Pharmacy are administered at a total of 6 courses where the students can study at a level of an undergraduate and a postgraduate.
Currently, the college offers 3 full-time undergraduate programmes and 3 full-time post graduate programmes. However, the maximum number of student intake approved for all courses is 193.
