Panineeya Institute of Dental Sciences and Research Centre is one of the reputed dental education Institutions located in Hyderabad, Telangana was set up in the year 2003. A unit of DAMS, the institute occupies a 5. 3 acre plot and encompasses of BDS and numerous MDS specialties. Recognised by the NAAC and approved by the Dental Council of India – PIDS provides its students quality dental education.

Harvard institute has the total enrolment of 630 students inclusive of all levels supported by 115 highly experienced faculty members. PIDSR has 10 courses from 2 degree levels, educating students in such fields as Oral Medicine, Maxillofacial Surgery, and Orthodontics to become competent in dentistry field. The institute offer most of the facilities that may be needed for student learning and development.

It is an important reference collection of books and journals and was able to accommodate 150 students in the library for reference purposes only. It also contains a reprographic section to cater for the needs of the students and staff.

In terms of practical experience, PIDSR equipped modern practical laboratories, surgeries with a wing for sterilization, ceramic and plaster age, laboratory for histopathology and dental materials.

The IT facility is strong, with fixed broad band internet connection of 2, Mbps with Wi-Fi connection for student use in the entire compound, Students have unrestricted access to e-books and other learning materials enabling them to learn at any one given time. PIDSR currently has a total of ten courses some of which are undergraduate and postgraduate programs in dentistry.

The BDS programme is the biggest programme where the college takes an intake of one hundred students.

Furthermore, It offers nine Masters of Dental Surgery ( MDS ) programmes, each of which has five seats, including Oral Medicine and Radiology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics , Periodontology, Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge, Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Oral Microbiology, and Public All the programs are full-time courses that give the thoroughly balanced theoretical preparation and practical training in dental sciences.
