Rabindranath College of Education, Chevella

Rabindranath college of education was started in the year 2002, and it is one of the best Institutions of Tarngana state in India. This affiliated college is situated in Kummera Village, Chevella Mandal, RR District and is ceremoniously training the future of educators for more than two decades now.

Situated in a large area of 5 acres, it is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to make teacher education most desirable. It has a total of 71 students and a faculty of 24 enabling the college to have a relatively small student-faculty ratio to ensure students are given adequate individual attention.

Rabindranath college of education boasts of availing every facility that will complement the learning process of the students. Sports lovers will be in a position to benefit from well-developed sports amenities that enhance the practice of exercises and encourage punctuality in Group/Team activities.

The college library may be described in terms of the alchemical image of an oracle, which supplies students with useful knowledge. In the aspect of practical lessons, the institution has departmental Laboratories, a provision that enables students to apply learnt theories practically.

As a hallmark of the college’s concern towards the health of students, the institution has a health centre/first aid to support the community. Rabindranath College of Education has two full and approved regular courses for the teaching profession at different stages. The 100 seat capacity programme Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) intends to produce secondary school teachers.

For those who have Readmission and are willing to teach at the primary level, the Diploma in Education (D. Ed) programme is available for 50 students. Both of them take two years to complete and offer students the necessary requirements in concepts of educational psychology, teaching and learning skills as well as teaching methods.

The college currently registers a total enrolment of 150 students as it seeks to churn out a good number of qualified educators each year. Rabindranath College of Education at Chevella, an affiliated college of Osmania university , is one example of the recognised standard of teacher education in Telangana.
