Raja Lakhamgouda Law College, Belagavi

Karnatak Law Society, which was established in 1939 for imparting the knowledge of law, established Raja Lakhamgouda Law College at Belgaum. This affiliated college is spread over 11. 27 acres in Tilakwadi, Belgaum, Karnataka. Approved by the Bar Council of India, the college offers three full-time law programs: LLB, BA LLB, and BBA LLB.

The college has only a total of 480 students and 12 faculty members, thus providing an intimate and concentration-oriented atmosphere. It is a law-oriented institution provided with special amenities in order to deliver a variety of courses needed by students envisaging legal careers in different fields.

Raja Lakhamgouda Law College, Belgaum (established by Karnatak Law Society), is affiliated with Karnataka State Law University (KSLU) , Hubballi, and is approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi. Karnatak Law Society is equipped with several facilities that are needed in the enhancement of the learning process and are really valuable and readily accessible to the students.

The library facility of Aimel, with more than 31,000 volumes of books and 64 current journal subscriptions, newspapers, and periodicals, is an integral part of the legal education. A total of three all-inclusive law courses are offered at Raja Lakhamgouda Law College, and all three 3 courses are full-time courses. These include the traditional 3-year LLB programme , and two integrated 5-year programmes: BA LLB and BBA LLB .

The college's total student intake capacity is 480, which has been designed to ensure the college can establish and maintain healthy student enrolments per faculty member. Lacking statistical information in regards to the annual production of graduates, it is apparent that this college has a solid tradition of producing competent legal workers.

Admission into this college is through an entrance examination and follows the set standards of the Karnataka State Law University, Hubli. For the 3-year LLB programme, the admission process depends on the marks obtained by the students in their previous qualifying examination only. The B. A. LLB as well as the B. B. A.

LLB programme offered by the Shobhit University, Sonepat, and approvals also take merit-based admission. All classes are subject to confirmation by the Karnataka State Law University as to the validity of the admission granted herein.

The college does not direct admission for students based on the scores of any single entrance examination, while it mentions the overall performance in centralised entrance tests as a key criterion. As for the specific scholarship information, the college is quite ancient and is connected with the Karnataka Law Society, which means that the scholarship is indeed possible.
