RIMS – Rao’s Institute of Management Studies was started in 2003 and is an autonomous institution situated at Chemudugunta, Venkatachalam, Andhra Pradesh. RIMS is located with Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati and is a Management and Business Administration institute. It has its campus covered in a land area of 2. 5 acres, and it is accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Based on the total number of students, which is 307, and Total number of faculty, which is 21, RIMS provides co-educational facility. The institute offers only MBA now, but two areas of specialisation and additional value-added are there to make the students more marketable. Rao’s Institute of Management Studies has a number of new amenities in order to cater to the academic need of the university.
It comprises smart classroom teaching tools to enhance effective flow of knowledge as a teaching tool. Advanced laboratories give students an opportunity to expose their selves in their area of specialisation. There is adequate storage and display of novels, journals and online resources, it’s environment is conducive for learning and research.
Accommodation is available for students needing it and; RIMS has well-furnished hostel for both male and female students with facilities such as solar power water heater and wireless internet among others. Approved intake of Rao’s Institute of Management Studies full time MBA programme for the current academic year is 180.
The course structure is such that a two-year programme helps the students to develop a strong foundation in business management. The courses offered are productive and are revised periodically to meet and suit the job market demand of the graduates.
Other than MBA, RIMS also provides value added courses and entrepreneurship programme as a value addition to its students to qualify them for more options in the job market.
