Regional Institute of Polytechnic Studies Vatika, an accredited polytechnic of technical education situated in Gram Vatika (Jaipur), Rajasthan, is one of the most famous institutions for dazzling and technical education. Set up with the core objective of offering sound technical education, RIPS has grown to be among the most recognised polytechnic institutions in the area.

It is affiliated with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, which is the national educational standard-setting body for technical education. The school currently has 131 students and a total of 35 teaching and other staff, which gives RIPS a compact feel. The institute currently offers four diploma programmes and all these are Day programmes meant to offer engineering disciplines.

The Regional Institute of Polytechnic Studies has a number of resources aimed at improving students’ learning environment and personal development. There is a fully equipped library in the institute under which students get the facility of technical literature and knowledge. Departments are fully equipped with modern instruments for practicals and have well-equipped first-class laboratories.

In a bid to ensure students have a smooth ride while going to and from RIPS and other parts of Jaipur and its environs, the Institute has a fleet of deluxe buses. Health and recreation also areimportant issues for the institute; therefore, there are sports facilities at the institute and a comfortable, air-conditioned gymnasium.

Regarding accommodation, there are hostels for both male and female students, which means the student can comfortably afford accommodation during their stay. On-campus nutritious meals, such as a cafeteria and a health centre with first-aid facilities, fulfil medical requirements. There are classrooms, an office complex, and an auditorium for conferences and meetings, thus active campus life at the institute.

The programmes of study provided at RIPS are therefore engineered to satisfy the increasing need for technicians in various engineering disciplines. There are 4 diploma courses that are available at the institute, and all these courses are regular courses which span three years.

Some of these are Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Electrical Engineering , Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, and Diploma in Electronics Engineering . The sum total approved intake as per all the courses is 270 seats, and there’s a scope for many an engineer to get their due chance.

In the development of all the courses, the aim is achieved to equip the students with both theoretical understanding and practical experiences as they face the practical world. As for the admission process, we need to note that RIPS has fairly transparent regulation, and the institute is open for each candidate who meets all the requirements.
