RN Tagore B Ed College, Bankura

RN Tagore B. Ed. College is located at Bankura, West Bengal. This coed college was founded in the year 2013 for prospective educators. The campus has been built on a relatively small 1. 02 acres plot at Brindabanpur, Beliatore. It has been accorded recognition by the NCTE, New Delhi, for its sincerity in maintaining quality in teacher training programs.

The faculty strength of the college, with a total student enrolment of 146, stands at 17, hence maintaining a very favorable student-teacher ratio that ensures personalized attention and quality instruction. The college has a string of facilities that assist in enriching the learning processes of its students.

At the very core of the academic resources lies the library, which is stocked with 3,527 books comprising 1,424 titles; a reading room for 100 students is also available. This college also maintains well-equipped departmental laboratories for hands-on learning. Its IT infrastructure is of prime importance, with 15 computer systems provided with internet accessibility and backed by a campus-wide Wi-Fi network.

It provides sports facilities and a canteen for refreshment purposes as a means of holistic development for the students. The health and safety concerns of the students are taken care of by the institution through a health center equipped with first-aid facilities.

The college also has separate hostels meant for both boys and girls so that students coming from faraway places can avail of comfortable boarding facilities. Currently, RN Tagore B. Ed. College is offering only one main course: namely, the Bachelor of Education (B. Ed. ) program. It is a regular course with a duration of two years; in fact, this is the general period for all courses of B. Ed. in India.
