Sai College of Education, Sangrur

Sai College of Education, Sangrur, has been started in 2017 and it is an affiliated college situated in Lehragaga, Punjab. This is a co-educational institution recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and it has teachers training college. Located in a confined parcel of 1. 1342 acres, the college takes 200 students for admission and has a teaching staff of sixteen persons.

Sai College of Education, Sangrur, is affiliated with Punjabi University , Patiala, Punjab. Sai College of Education provides students with various amenities that are useful in the learning process of a student. It is through the library and learning resource centre that the teaching and learning activities are boosted; the facility was stocked with well over 4,000 books and 10 national and international journals.

The college also has well-equipped laboratories. The college has a language laboratory to improve the speaking skills of students and Science and Maths laboratories to inculcate scientific attitude among the learners.

The ICT lab is equipped with computer track connected to broadband internet connection with relevant multimedia tools to allow those willing to be teachers to improve on their use of technology in teaching. Sai College of Education has only one course which is the full time two-year programme leading to the award of the Bachelor of Education (B. Ed).

It has actually been approved to take only 100 students to this programme though it prepares teachers. This narrow specialisation leads to the fact that the institution can dedicate its resources to maintain and develop high standards of teacher education. The admission norms followed of Sai College of Education relates to the Norms of NCTE norms and university norms of the Punjabi University, Patiala.
