The Sancheti College of Physiotherapy is located in very professional medical surroundings in Pune, Maharashtra, established in the year 1972. It is an affiliated college, approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC), and has been serving as a torchbearer in orthopaedic education and patient care for the last five decades.

Located in a 1-acre campus, the institute offers two postgraduate courses, whereby a total of 34 students are taken in, and is supported by a faculty of up to 12 experienced persons. As a co-educational institution, it admits students from all walks of life, hence providing an ideal learning atmosphere for the science of orthopaedics.

Sancheti College of Physiotherapy, Pune, is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik. The institution is recognized by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP), New Delhi. The other facilities include a 75-seat air-conditioned seminar hall complete with audiovisual aids and facilities that provide the venue for academic deliberations and presentations. The institute showcases well-maintained state-of-the-art laboratories for arthroscopy and arthroplasty, supported by bone models and up-to-date AO videos for trauma training. The institute holds an array of orthopaedic specimens that can be classed, by any standard, among the best in the world in a collection of practical knowledge based on instructive specimens for future connoisseurs in orthopaedics.

At Sancheti Institute, two postgraduate programmes are offered full-time- MS Orthopaedics and Diploma in Orthopaedics . The MS Orthopaedics has a three-year trend and enrolls 20 students, whereas the three-year-long Diploma in Orthopaedics takes in 5 students.

Both these programmes are designed with the aim of being a breeding reservoir of skilled orthopaedic professionals in this institute, hence making a total enrolment of 34 students. The course structure of both maintains the theoretical and practical balance in students; therefore, the students become a challenge for modern orthopaedic practice.

The Sancheti Institute admissions are pretty tough as they have a competitive criterion to ensure that students admitted into the institute have high potential to make it big in the Orthopaedics field. Students taking up the MS Orthopaedics course need to fulfill all requirements to be eligible to appear in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduate (NEET PG).

However, intake dates for admission to MS Orthopaedics will be based on the NEET PG schedule, followed yearly, as revised yearly.
