Santhigiri Institute of Management, Vazhithala

Santhigiri Institute of Management, Vazhithala (SIM) has only started functioning in the year 2016. This affiliated college is situated at Thodupuzha, Idukki District, Kerala and over the last few years has become popular among management aspirants.

Recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education, SIM was established to provide students with a specialised curriculum aimed at developing effective leaders in the world of business. Santhigiri Institute of Management feels privileged to provide number of modern amenities that contribute to the improvement of the student conditions.

The classrooms at SIM are well equipped with good furniture and air conditioners, digital projects and sound systems. IT facilities are well developed and spacious in that it has a computer laboratory where students can undertake individual assignments and researches. A modern library stocks up to date books and journals including newspapers and periodicals to ensure students are updated on current events.

Due to this, the management has provided an ATM facility of the South Indian Bank inside the school compound. The institute also has an air condition hall for seminar which is very useful for conducting conferences and academic fest. This is an Affiliated College of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. Santhigiri Institute of Management aims mainly on post graduate management education.

The institute runs a full time MBA programme with an intake capacity of sixty students for the session Commencing from the year 2010-2011. This programme takes two years to prepare students for the ever changing business environment by providing the necessary knowledge and skills.

This paper aims to establish the admission criteria for selecting students in the Santhigiri Institute of Management with good academic background for leadership.
