Saraswati Sangeet Kala Mahavidyalaya, Latur, was set up in the year 2001 and the institution is a co-educational College for arts, especially music. This affiliated college is in Latur, Maharashtra and is divided over an area of 3. 45 acres of land. Besides its National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation, the institute promotes quality education.

The total number of students enrolled in this college is 273 and the total numbers of faculty members are 11, this college provides 2-degree courses in two courses. Being an institute specialising in cultural and performing arts, the institute provides students with valuable opportunity for developing their skills in these fields.

Saraswati Sangeet Kala Mahavidyalaya has put in place various facilities that aim at improving the learning environment besides the general development of the students under its faculty. A well-endowed library is an essential part of the academic resource centre which houses books for learning.

The sports department is also excellent with its past performance which provided a wide playground and other equipment required for different outdoor games like kho-kho, volleyball and athletics etc. An auditorium helps to perform events and seminars, and a cafeteria provides the food to the staff and students.

Saraswati Sangeet Kala Mahavidyalaya offers two full-time courses, a Bachelor of Arts (BA) programme and a Master of Arts in Music (MA). BA has an intake capacity of 360 and MA Music has an approved intake of 160.

Both programmes are intended to offer students thorough understanding of the chosen specialisations together with useful hands-on experience. The BA course is a three year course while the MA Music course is a two year course. These courses help students, who seek the necessary knowledge to obtain positions of fair and upper levels in the sphere of arts and music.
