Sathyabama University Dental College and Hospital was started in the year 2009, it is a constituent college situated in Chennai, Tamilnadu. This co-educational college is located on a 13. 77 acres of land and is recognised by the Dental Council of India (DCI). There are four dental programmes in seats 107 in the college. Undergraduate and post graduate.

At the present, the institute has a total number of faculty members of 92, hence allowing the institute to maintain a small student faculty ratio with aims in promoting quality dentistry education. Some of college facilities include following facilities appropriately fitted for student’s academic and personal development.

The campus accommodation comprises of male and female hostels which include; mess facilities, laundry and gym. A library enhances students and comprehensively they require for their research as well as studying purposes; IT infrastructure consist of dedicated internet leased line of 155 Mbps and provide connectivity all over the campus. In the physical realm the institute provides sporting amenities and a gym.

The college also boasts of a health centre where first aid is offered to college students in case they fall sick. Large cafeteria and well equipped modern kitchen offer hygienic and healthy foods; special area is arranged for veg and non veg food lovers. In fact, Sathyabama University Dental College and Hospital provides a total of four dental programs and all of them are the full time program.

Following is the Under and Post graduate offerings. The BDS offered for undergraduate form the foundation of the dental education and there are three post graduate Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programs. The criteria of admission and the procedure followed in Sathyabama University Dental College and Hospital are standardized and given according to the merit.

As for BDS program admission, the option is through the central entrance examination known as National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Under graduate (NEET UG) for dental and medical aspirants. Similarly the NEET-MDS is conducted for admissions to the MDS programs for students with respective dental qualifications.
