School of Nursing and District Hospital for Women, Akola, was set up in 1958 in the sprawling city of Akola, Maharashtra. A well-known institution located at New Radhakisan Plots, this institution has been preparing dedicated healthcare professionals for much over six decades. In teacher education, it has a focused programme in nursing auxiliaries, namely the Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM).

The institute operates as a small one with a total of 40 students’ enrolment with an aim of providing quality education to each and every student.
