Ed College provided three combinations in teacher education. These include a two-year B. Ed. programme and two integrated four-year programmes: BA B. Ed. and B. Sc B. Ed . The quota approved for each course is 100, and for all programmes, it is 300. All programmes are carried out on full-time basis to enable the students gain profound knowledge and professional skills to practice teaching.
The admission policy of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Mahila B. Ed. College still follows the faculty system and the relevant criteria for admission are merit based. For the B. Ed. programme the admission process is through the Pre Teacher Education Test (PTET) score. The Central Counseling Board prepares a merit list depending on the marks achieved by the candidates in this entrance test.
