SHEDS College of Law, Solan

SHEDS College of Law, Solan, is a young college that commenced in 2019 to offer legal education for the residents of Himachal Pradesh in India. This private college is situated at Solan New Bus Stand that follows rules and regulation of Bar Council of India (BCI). The college is located in a 1-acre campus and as of the present time, the college has 16 enrolment and one of a kind faculty 7.

At SHEDS College of Law, efforts are made to deliver value based legal education through the Ba LLB (Hons) programme This is the only programme offered by the institution. Many of these colleges have installed features which are aimed at boosting up the capacity of learning and development of the learners. The library plays a very important role, by availing legal texts, Journals, and other research works.

In this regard, SHEDS College of Law produces the necessities of the program, including both a boys’ Hostel and a girls’ Hostel to accommodate the needs of the able bodied students. The campus has constructed places used in the activities related to exercise and games by the students. A big hall for conducting events, seminars and guest lectures is provided to encourage and build an academic culture.

Among these, one notices the Moot Court where the laws students can rehearse their advocacy skills in the courtroom manner. There is also a cafeteria for refreshments and an IT structure to support advanced learning techniques, a health center for first aid in emergencies. SHEDS College of Law currently offers one comprehensive course: the BA LLB (Hons) program .

It is a five-year integrated course where students get B. A. LL. B degree, which means one does Bachelors in Arts alongside the degree in Law and such a course will expose a student to a wide range of legal aspects that apply to different disciplines.
