The Sheth M. C. College of Dairy Science, Anand, was established in the year 1960. The college acts as a platform in order to pursue higher education in dairy education with 12 diversified courses from 5-degree programs in the area that covers most of the dimensions of dairy science and technology. Currently, 313 students are on roll in the college, which is served by 30 strong faculties.
The college provides for many facilities in the college for making the campus life comfortable and the lead to the academic pursuits of the institution easier. The Munshi hostel caters for 120 males and 30 females at the undergraduate level, while postgraduate level arrangements are shared at the campus with the agricultural college.
This commitment towards holistic development is further fleshed out in the excellent library, sports facilities, and state-of-the-art IT infrastructure. Sheth M. C. College of Dairy Science also gives an auditorium for events and seminars, a cafeteria for refreshments and banks along with ATMs for essential services on campus.
The health centre in the campus ensures the wellness of the students with first aid facilities. Sheth M. C. College of Dairy Science presents a broad agenda in dairy education at various levels. This college encompasses the postgraduate programs within and under the undergraduate as well as postgraduates with specialisation courses at doctoral level. The program of undergraduation lies based on B. Tech and B. Sc.
in Dairy Technology, while the postgraduation comprises of specialisations in M. Tech in Dairy Technology and Dairy Engineering as well as in M. Sc. in Dairy Microbiology and Dairy Chemistry. Research studies leading to Ph. D. are also available in Dairy Technology , Dairy Engineering, Dairy Microbiology, and Dairy Chemistry.
In recent years, the institution offers an MBA course in Dairy and Food Business Management given the high demand for professional managers in this field. Admission in Sheth M. C.
