Shri Balaji College of Education, Rohtak established in 2006, is one of the beacons of educational excellence in Haryana. Situated on Delhi Road near Radha Soami Satsang Beas, this co-educational institution is dedicated to the development of future educators.
The campus of this affiliated college stretches across 3 acres and is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi, to provide quality education in the teaching area. With 14 faculty members who are devoted professionals, Shri Balaji College of Education offers two types of professional courses in education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Among the contemporary amenities set up to make students' learning experiences more enriching, the one that occupies a pride of place is a vast library with 8,141 books on its shelves. This treasure of knowledge consists of textbooks, reference books, and school textbooks that can provide adequate support to students in their academic ventures.
The library provides a number of journals, magazines, and newspapers to update students about current affairs and educational trends. At the same time, for practical exposure, laboratories are well-equipped. These range from physical chemistry and biotechnology labs to others, fully equipped so that each student is accorded practical sessions individually for a better insight into concepts in science.
Shri Balaji College of Education offers two regular courses: Bachelor of Education and Master of Education. B. Ed has an approved intake of 200 students, and the duration of this program will be two years. It is aimed at providing aspirant teachers for primary and secondary education. M. Ed has a sanctioned intake of 50 students, and the duration is two years.
Admission to Shri Balaji College of Education is merit-based, which very clearly reflects the commitment of this institution towards academic excellence. The admission to the course of B. Ed. shall be made on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying examination and the entrance examination or any other selection process as may be prescribed by the State Government, University or UT administration.
Admission criteria to M. Ed. are based on a candidate's qualifying exam and/or entrance examination performance in accordance with the concerned authorities.
