Shri Balaji Institute of Technology and Management, Betul

Shri Balaji Institute of Technology and Management (SBITM) was started in the year 2009 and is situated in Betul Madhya Pradesh. Being AICTE approved, this institute is associated with Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya and provides the choice in engineering streams. Situated on a vast area of around 10 acres of land, SBITM offers an environment of learning and all-round development.

This institute is academically capable of the total enrolment of 816 students, guided by the faculty of 56 members. SBITM provides 7 courses in two degree levels, covering a wide range of engineering disciplines based on the demand of the current technical education market. Among the strengths the institute boasts modern computer equipment and great variety of facilities.

SBITM contains well stocked laboratories, automated library with huge numbers of books and other electronic resources and computer laboratory with 390 systems for effective practical session. The campus accommodate out station students, socialise respectively by providing separated hostels for boys and girls.

This is in addition to such facilities as cafeteria, sports facilities and transport facilities that augment the experience of the students. The classrooms are large and fully lit, and there are accoutrements for effective learning like projectors in the classroom. Shri Balaji Institute of Technology and Management also has a hospital for the treatment of its students and employees’ diseases.

At present, SBITM has 7 full time programmes where it has four B. Tech degrees as well as four diploma programmes. The B. Tech programmes takes four years while diploma programmes takes three years.

The institute has focused mainly on engineering branches and the subjects include Civil Engineering, Computer Science and engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, and newly added, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science . In addition, SBITM offers diploma courses in Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering.

This results into an approved course intake of sixty students each for most of the courses, which allows the institute to admit only the right number of students for proper student-instructor ration for the production of quality students. Tech programmes are through VYAPAM PET exam for the next session, off campus online counseling by RGPV and DTE, Govt of MP for the current session.

The institute also uses Class XII marks for merit-based admissions for any of its programmes. For the diploma courses, the students are selected on the basis of their performance on Pre-Polytechnic Test (PPT) conducted by VYAPAM as well. The centralised counseling for diploma courses being held under the supervision of Department of Technical Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh.

MP PPT scores are admitted for courses offered by SBITM relevant to this test. SBITM has a keen interest in supporting students in many aspects apart from their academics. The institute stands out with the presence of Training and Placement Cell, through which students have access to internship and placement.

A functional Alumni Association assists students in finding the interaction with business representatives and real-world insights.
