One of the oldest Ayurvedic colleges, Shri Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan’s Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Pusad was commenced in 1992. Situated in Pusad, Maharashtra, this is an affiliated college recognised by the Central Council for Indian Medicine (CCIM). The institute occupies a vast area of 11 acre therefore providing a favourable learning and research environment for Ayurveda.
Being an institution where quality is stressed , he college takes only 50 students in a batch and has a faculty of 35 and thus, aspiring Ayurvedic pharmacists get individual attention and requisite counselling. Shri Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan’s Ayurved Mahavidyalaya holds student care supreme and strives to provide them with all necessary amenities that are required for the student’s learning process.
The campus has practical demonstration laboratories, extensive library with extensive Ayurvedic literature and IT facilities to support research and learning. Students are awarded with amenities that include sporting facilities and a gym which enhance their physical health together with academics. The college has also provided different hostels for male and female students to enhance their accommodation needs.
Additional facilities such as the canteen, an auditorium and guest facilities also increase the quality of the campus environment and fosters the spirit of a multidimensional community. Shri Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan Ayurved Mahavidyalaya has a modest structure and provides profound education since its major specialisation is the BAMS programme .
Ayurveda is taught as a full time course that lasts for six academic years giving students a good ground in Ayurveda knowledge. The college also offers admissions annually, and conducts admissions with 50 students for the BAMS degree programme to maintain a healthy competition and a high quality of education.
