Shri Madhaorao Wankhade Sharirik Shikshan Mahavidyalaya is one of the leading educational institution in field of physical education situated in Nagpur city, Maharashtra. This affiliated college was founded in 1991 and hence, this institution has been transforming sports education for the last 30 years. Located on a campus of 9 acres, the institute is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

A total number of students is 358 and the faculty strength is 11 which gives the college a good learning environment. The institute offer three coursesunder tow degree courses in physical education and sports sciences. The college features well equipped and appropriately aimed facilities that are meant to improve the quality of learning, as well as the students in general.

The physical education programme of Shri Madhaorao Wankhade Sharirik Shikshan Mahavidyalaya has benefited from a well-equipped facility for sports complex thereby offering the students adequate practical experience. This important premise is a repository of learning materials in physical education and related areas.

These facility cater for the different specialisations in sports sciences so as to facilitate practical exercise. The institute also provides the health care services for students by having first aid facilities in health centre. For sports and exercise, there is a contemporary gym on the territory of the university.

In this regard, through the college’s IT infrastructure, the students are always up to date with the latest in the sporting equipments. The college is affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur. Shri Madhaorao Wankhade Sharirik Shikshan Mahavidyalaya has a total of the three full time courses . This as follows two undergraduate courses namely the Bachelor in Physical Education (B. P.

Ed) and Bachelor of Physical Education (B. P. E) and a postgraduate course in the form of Master in Physical Education (M. P. Ed). Course Name Eligibility Criteria B. P.
