Shri Ram College of Engineering, Muzaffarnagar (SRCEM), situated in Uttar Pradesh, is a notable college that provides good education in different disciplines of engineering. The institute follows a staged admission process that serves as a guarantee that the deserving candidates are selected to join the programmes of the college.
Usually, admissions are open from May to June for the new academic session starting in July–August, which is in line with the technical education schedule of the state. The eligibility for B. Tech courses requires the candidate to have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the main subjects and at least 50–60% overall marks.
Admission is mainly on the basis of scores in well-known entrance tests such as JEE Main or UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam), followed by counselling and allotment of seats that may be at the state or institutional level.
Filling the application form includes passing the relevant entrance exam, doing counselling registration, filling out the SRCEM application form (on the official website or counselling portal), submitting the application fee, and making the required documents available for uploading.
Counselling and document verification are done for shortlisted candidates only before they confirm their admission with the payment of the prescribed fees. Students are required to submit their passport-sized photographs, attested copies of the results of 10th and 12th classes, and the scorecard of the entrance exam.
Besides, domicile and category certificates (if applicable), and institute-specified documents are also expected to be submitted. Though it's a properly planned admission process and emphasis on technical education, Shri Ram College of Engineering, Muzaffarnagar, provides young engineers the best stage to continue their higher studies and construct their own engineering career value.
