Shri Ramdevi Ramdayal Tripathi Mahila Polytechnic, Kanpur

Shri Ramdevi Ramdayal Tripathi Mahila Polytechnic, Kanpur, was established in the year 1984 and is purely an all-women technical institute located at Saket Nagar, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. This affiliated college is spread over 10 acres and has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).

The institute has a total enrolment of 358 in three diploma programs and is supported by a 12-member faculty having its expertise in the departments of Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Pharmacy. The polytechnic only admits female students, hence providing an environment with a concentration of women in technical education.

The institute has a number of facilities to enhance the educational experience of the students. The well-stocked library comprises over 4,000 books and CDs. It also offers national and international newspapers, periodicals, and journals. The Computer Centre is a state-of-the-art facility that includes the latest software packages, like SPSS and ERP, to help in data analysis and prepare projects.

The College provides accommodation to girls through a hostel, well-equipped with spacious rooms, 24x7 power backup, water supply, and Wi-Fi internet connectivity. Facilities for playing cricket, football, hockey, basketball, table tennis, and lawn tennis are available, with the support of a well-equipped gymnasium and a newly laid, fully serviced running track.

Other facilities in the infrastructural environment include a canteen catering to a variety of tastes, departmental laboratories, a health center with first-aid facilities, and a guest house that caters to visiting faculty and family. Shri Ramdevi Ramdayal Tripathi Mahila Polytechnic offers three full-time Diploma Courses. These include Diploma in Computer Science and Engg. , Electronics Engg. , and D. Pharma.

This common entrance test forms the gateway to admission for all three diploma courses in this institute. The Institute's Training and Placement Cell takes prime responsibility for guiding the students towards apprenticeship, job opportunity, and advanced studies. During all these years, a large number of the alumni are well placed in several private and government organizations.
