Shri RN Memorial Mahila Teachers Training College of Education Jodhpur a women’s institution for teacher training was established in the year 2005. This affiliated college is situated at Madhuban Housing Board, Basni, Jodhpur and occupies a total area of 2 acres. Affiliated to National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), it is presently affiliated with 193 students, 15 faculty members.

It provides only one programme, and this is the B. Ed programme that trains future teachers. So the college with its concentration on women’s education and training instructors constitutes a crucial link in providing education in Rajasthan. Shri RN Memorial Mahila Teachers Training College prides in having top notch infrastructures that would complement the cause of education in the college.

A fully equipped library assists as an information facility, providing information through e-journals, e-books and free browsing facilities over the internet. It consists of physics, chemistry, zoology, botany, Geography, Psychology practical demonstration labs, etc. Sports facility for extracurricular activities includes indoor games and outdoor games facilities and has provided a gym facility also.

Shri RN Memorial Mahila Teachers Training College of Education is offering only one course that is Bachelors in education or B. Ed course. This full-time course is of two years’intake with an approved capacity of 100 seats. The curriculum of the B. Ed programme includes the set of courses, which is aimed at preparing the participants for the successfully continuation of the studying process as future teachers.

Due to the college’s emphasis on this particular programme, emphasis is placed on the production of quality educators. Admissions in Shri RN Memorial Mahila Teachers Training College of Education are conducted according to the policy of the Government of Rajasthan. To eligibility criteria for joining an institution of this kind, prospective students are asked to sit for the Pre-Teacher Education Test (P. T. E. T.

) which is taken on behalf of one of the Universities of Rajasthan.
