Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Engineering and Technology, shortly known as SSIET, was established in the year 2009 in Durg, Chhattisgarh. The institution is affiliated with AICTE and has programmes in engineering fields. The campus covers an area of 13. 4 acres. There are 176 students and a teaching faculty of 56 members.

The institute offers 7 programmes spread over 3 degree levels with specialisation in different fields of engineering. Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Engineering and Technology provides a very exhaustive range of facilities to aid student life and their academic pursuit.

SSIET offers separate hostel accommodations for both boys and girls wherein comfortable living is provided through furnished rooms, dining halls, and common areas. There is a fully equipped gymnasium which always stays on campus to promote physical fitness among the students.

Modern Library: The body serves as the central place for academic resources, with extensive textbooks and reference materials aside from offering a spectrum of digital resources. The institute maintains the practice labs to train the students practically, an auditorium for performing events and seminars, and sports facilities for extracurricular activities.

Other facilities include a canteen and a health centre with first-aid facilities to help address day-to-day needs and welfare of the students. SSIET provides both undergraduate as well as postgraduate programmes in engineering to help out the students according to the sources of career interests. Some of the courses offered are 4 BE, 1 M. Tech. , and 2 diploma courses.

The entire undergraduate as well as the diploma programme is full-time; thus, it is quite rigorous and concentrated. The total approved intake for all the courses is 288 students.
