Sivaraj Homoeopathic Medical College and Research Institute Salem was started in the year 2001 and it is an affiliated college. The above said institution is specific to homeopathy and is recognised by the Central Council of Homeopathy (CCH). The college occupies a limited area of 2. 5 acres; however, it provides a specialised learning atmosphere for the students enroled in the homeopathic course.

The institute has total building capacity of 267 students total building capacity comprising of students 37 faculty members and as such the institute provides individual focus to each of its students thus imparting quality education.

At the moment the college offers only one course, the Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) for which the college has been assessed and approved to admit 50 students per academic year. Sivaraj Homoeopathic Medical College and Research Institute has developed a number of features which are aimed at improving both the learning process and students’ personal growth.

These facilities have at their centre a library that currently boasts over 25000 standard and reference works. The library also currently has over 25 special national and international journal, magazine, and dailies’ subscription and contains CDs, CD ROMs, DVDs, along with a rich question bank. Currently, students gain access to the internet and photocopying in the library.

College offers various facilities of accommodation for the students, including the boys and girls hostels; each of the hostels can accommodate 150 students. These hostels include some modern facilities and are taken management at the cooperative mess system for providing hygienic foods for residents.

Sivaraj Homoeopathic Medical College and Research Institute only provides one course of BHMS a six year full time course. This kind of focus and focus provides the institute the liberty to offer quality homeopathy education with specialised efforts.

The BHMS programme for the coming academic year has an approved capacity of 50 students based on the institute’s policy of ensuring that the institute student teacher ratio is pragmatic and enabling effective student learning.
