SKDAV‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Government Polytechnic Rourkela came into existence in the year 1967. It is a coeducational institution. The government of Odisha has recognised SKDAV Government Polytechnic and has given its approval to AICTE. The College of SKDAV Government Polytechnic is affiliated with the Directorate of Technical Education and Training, Cuttack.

SKDAV Government Polytechnic Rourkela is offering diploma courses in the areas of Civil Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering , Electronics Engineering, and Information Technology .
