Smt JN Bhatu College of Education, Junagadh

Smt. J. N. Bhatu College of Education, Junagadh (2003), is one of the best colleges for teacher education in Gujarat state of India. Established and situating at Vanthli Road, Vadla Fatak, this co-educational college is an affiliated institution, approved by the National Council for Teacher Education.

At present, there are 181 students enrolled and 6 faculty to maintain a good teacher-pupil ratio for the aspiring teachers of this college. The campus hosts one degree program, the Bachelor of Education (B. Ed), for a duration of two years of full-time study. The college provides several facilities to its students in order to facilitate them with a decent learning environment and to promote overall development.

The hostels consist of separate inns that are appropriately designed to provide a comfortable residential facility to students coming from outside the town. There is one library within the campus that is extensively stocked with several types of books used to gain information, carry out researches, and studying. The auditorium also has many events and seminars organized in them.

For health and fitness, first-aid medical facilities are there. In addition to this, the institution believes in integrating technology with great emphasis placed by it on IT infrastructure. The students can also engage themselves in sports for physical fitness and recreational purposes.

Besides these, there is also a guest house for the visiting faculty and relatives, a canteen for rest snacks, a transport facility, which has a free bus service to students and staff provided round the city of Junagadh. Smt. J. N. Bhatu College of Education offers its B. Ed. program only. The Institute has specialized teacher-training of this course.

This is a full-time two-year course which aims at making successful careers of the students in the field of education. Admission to Smt. J. N. Bhatu College of Education is based on merit, ascertaining marks/grades obtained in the qualifying examination and/or an entrance examination. The admission policies of the state government, Union Territory, and affiliated university are followed at the college.
