Sri Muthukumaran Medical College Hospital and Research Institute (SMMCHRI) is one of the fast-growing medical colleges in Chennai, India, established in 2009. This affiliated college is approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC); the university spans over 27 acres; here the student can fathom medical programmes can be availed.

SMMCHRI is recognised as a co-educational institute and dedicated to medical education. The institute has a student strength of 300 and a well-equipped faculty of 251 members to help the budding medical professionals in the institute. The college provides 8 courses in 3 different degree programmes aimed at various medical specialities.

Sri Muthukumaran Medical College Hospital and Research Institute is equipped with highly equipped departmental laboratories for practice to enable learners to gain practical knowledge in their areas of specialisation. In physical fitness and recreation, SMMCHRI has put in place a gym facility for use by the members of the organisation.
