SSM College of Education, Rohtak was established in the year 2008 as affiliated college at Makroli Khurad, Rohtak, Haryana. This institute is NCTE-approved and offers postgraduate teaching. It caters to the needs of the students by giving them all facilities to grow and develop in academics and personal life. SSM College of Education offers two major programmes under the education stream. The B. Ed. and the Diploma in Education are each two years full-time programme. Sanctioned intake in the B. Ed. course is 100 students. This course was introduced to guide the students through adequate skills and knowledge needed for a successful teaching career at this stage.
Cases of merit-based admission at SSM College of Education are carried out strictly on the basis of marks secured in a qualifying examination and/or entrance test, respectively. The admission policy of the college is further governed by the policy of the state government of Haryana and the affiliated university.
The selection will be conducted giving due consideration to the results of the academic performance and entrance test scores, if any, maintained in a comprehensive manner in the case of B. Ed. Admission to D. Ed is also done purely on merit basis as directed by the rules of the state government concerned and the educational authorities.
