St Pauls College of Pharmacy, Turkayamjal

The St. Paul’s College of Pharmacy was set up in 2007 at Turkayamjal, Hyderabad, Telangana. This is a co –educational institution that is a PCI approved affiliated college affiliated to KSWU and accredited by NAAC. Located on a 2. 5 acre land it is an institutionalised college with a total student strength of 660, 62% being undergraduate students and 38% postgraduate students.

The faculty of the institute has always comprised of 50 members and it provides 6 courses in 3 programmes that focus on different disciplines of pharmaceuticals. St. Paul’s College of Pharmacy offers a number of amenities for the students to improve on the way they make their learning.

A well stocked library comprises of 6000 books, 50 national and 30 international journals including a fully computerised library having membership to reputed scientific journals. There are 12 laboratories in the campus which include Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy laboratories, Instrumentation facility and Machine room.

UG is connected to Internet through Windows NT Server and LAN and has a computerise lab for UG students having sixty computers and for PG students having eighteen computers. The whole campus is Wi-fi enabled, receiving up to one hundred Mbps internet connection.

To ensure comfort to students, the college has provided separate hostels for boys and girls, a canteen with hygienically prepared food and transportation facility from different places of twin cities. Talking about the Programmes offered by St. Paul’s College of Pharmacy it offers all the related programmes. The institute offers 6 programmes such as full time undergraduate, post graduate and doctoral programmes.

UGC grant The current B. Pharma programme has 60 intake seats and the Pharm. D programme has a 30 intake seats. Education hence, the Pharm. D Post Baccalaureate course has 10 Intake places. Admission to St. Paul’s College of Pharmacy depends with the course of interest as explained below. In case of B. pharmacy and Pharm.

D programmes admissions are offered through TS EAMCET counselling through the rank secured in TS EAMCET. The common test for Engineering, Agriculture and Medical common entrance test is known as TS EAMCET, which is conducted for these courses. For postgraduate courses of M. Pharma and Pharm. D Post Baccalaureate there are admission through web counselling on the basis of the GPAT rank or TS PGECET rank.

Meritorious students are provided numerous fee reimbursement scholarships by St. Paul's College of Pharmacy. Based on facts in 2023: For UG programmes: Fee reimbursement was granted to 90 out of the total of 391 students. For PG programmes: Reimbursement of fees was paid to all 37 students enrolled. For 3-year doctoral programmes: Fee reimbursement was given to 17 out of the total number of 24 students.

For 6-year doctoral students: 37 out of 167 students were reimbursed for fees. These figures indicate that a high percentage of students are aided by finances, the large number of fee reimbursement indicates that the St. Paul's College of Pharmacy tries to fund students. Students are also advised to ask about individual St.

Paul's College of Pharmacy scholarship programmes and eligibility requirements from the college administration. Fee reimbursement is not always a blanket policy based on government rules, academic achievement, and socio-economic conditions.
