Subharti Dental College, Meerut was established in the year 1996. Located in the heart of the city, this is one of the premier institutions in the state of Uttar Pradesh. This constituent college of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University is spread over a sprawling 200-acre campus with a serene environment conducive to learning.

Approved by the Dental Council of India, SDC has managed to make a mark for itself in the domain of dental education with its eclectic mix of 656 aspiring dental professionals and 137 faculty members. It offers courses in a plethora of 11 course under 4 degree programmes that specialise in various facets of dentistry. Subharti Dental College is proud of its state-of-the-art facilities for holistic development.

It has separate in-campus hostel facilities for boys and girls, with all recreational facilities like a gymnasium. At the centre of academic resources lies a well-stacked library, comprising more than 6,476 books and several national and international journals, which remains accessible from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm.

The institution has a very robust IT infrastructure that keeps the students updated with the latest in dental technology. For nourishment and leisure, the institution has three cafeterias that serve different cuisines seven days a week. It has four well-maintained lecture halls provided with modern teaching aids like LCD projectors and multimedia systems.

An air-conditioned hall with a capacity of more than 200 seats, along with two huge university auditoriums, facilitate the smooth conduct of various academic and cultural activities, making it a vibrant campus. On the academic front, the Subharti Dental College is diverse and truly comprehensive. Out of 656 students, 561 are at the undergraduate level, while 95 students are enrolled at the postgraduate level.

The college offers 11 different courses, of which some are full-time programmes at the UG and PG levels. The Bachelor of Dental Surgery is the flagship course, admitted to by 100 students annually. There are also courses for different Master of Dental Surgery , or MDS, specialisations ranging from 2 to 6 seats per course. The College offers different courses in dental sciences at the diploma and Ph. D. levels.

In the case of BDS, admission is majorly through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test conducted countrywide among students who seek admission to the dental and medical fields. Admissions for postgraduate MDS programmes are done by NEET MDS. For the Diploma in Dental Mechanic, there is direct admission or through an interview. A candidate shall be admitted to Ph. D.

programme either through the University Common Entrance Examination or through SNET or by direct interview.
