Subramanian Polytechnic College is one of the premier Polytechnic Colleges in Pudukkottai District Tamil Nadu India, started in 1983 with a spiritual effort towards moulding the future Technical education. This affiliated college which is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is located on-campus of 12. 177 acre of land.

The college accredits a total of 648 students and 41 faculties providing a wide array of diploma courses. This show the ability of the institution in providing education in its six specialised courses to meet the growing technical needs. Subramanian Polytechnic College has several amenities that enhance students’ learning experiences in many ways as shall be seen.

The spacious well stocked library centre serves as a source of knowledge for students into academics and the modern lase equipped laborataries enable practical sessions, which are very vital in technical learning. There are special facilities for games and sports through which students are fostered in physical education and team spirit.

The college has a robust information technology structure to make students informed about the current technology. There are separate hostels for boys and girls for candidates in need of them. Furthermore, therefore, the college owns and manages 10 buses, and 2 vans to enable transport for students and staff. Subramanian Polytechnic College is currently covering six diploma courses and all the offered diploma courses are full time. These include Diploma in Mechanical Engineering , Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering , Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Engineering.

The college also provides lateral entry for the Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering stream. Overall approved intake for all the courses is 372 and Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering streams has the maximum intake of 120 each.
