Sukhjinder Technical Campus (STC) which was started in 2011 and is an affiliated college of IK Gujral Punjab Technical University Jalandhar. This co–educational institution is situated in Gurdaspur, Punjab and offers a number of engineering courses. The campus is situated in 5 acres of land and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has approved it.
Total number of students enroled at STC Gurdaspur is 263 and the faculty at STC Gurdaspur is 89. In terms of offering the courses, the institute offers 12 courses over 3 degree levels that are the diplomas and degree courses of B. Tech and M. Tech in Mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering , and Civil engineering.
Sukhjinder Technical Campus feature the different facilities that may be required within the learning process for the students. These are well equipped labs, general and computer labs, and a library which contains literature from the coursework. The institute has also arrange different hostels for boys and girls to make the out station students to comfortable to stay far away from their home state.
The health needs of the campus community are met by a medical centre, manned with professional medical personnel. For recreation and to maintain physical strength, the college provides facility for almost all major indoor and outdoor games and sports for the students. Sukhjinder Technical Campus provide wide option of engineering courses that will satisfy and meet the aspirations of any potential student.
There are 5 B. Tech programmes, 5 diploma courses and 2 M. Tech programmes are offered only in full time mode. The B. Tech programmes offered by the college are Computer Science and Engineering , Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering , Civil Engineering, and Electrical Engineering , for which the college offer 30 seats each.
The diploma courses offered are almost the same as those offered for degree with a higher capacity of 60 intakes per programme for Electronics and Communication Engineering intake being however 30. There is more specialisations available for M. Tech in postgraduate level and the intakes of Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering are 9 for each.
This capacity of covering many aspects of engineering gives the student a adequate opportunity to follow their preferred specialiasations in engineering. Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering 30 All the admissions in the Sukhjinder Technical Campus are carried out on the basis of merit. For B. Tech programmes, there are admissions organised by Joint Entrance Examination ( JEE Main ). Candidates who fulfilled the set qualifications are supposed to attend a counselling session and follow the arising admission processes.
The institute also has some courses for which the students take entrance tests at state level. There is a training and placement cell that helps the students to get jobs after passing out, and the institute follows campus placement sessions and many of its students are placed in companies of high repute.
